BIOGRAPHY
Once upon a time, there was a creative little girl named Caro. She loved spending her time creating drawings, which she then sold for 5 cents or 10 cents to passers-by in front of her family house in Québec, Canada. She dreamed of being an artist when she grew up.
Years later, her dream came true. She graduated in Graphic Design in 1999, and spent the following twelve years working as a graphic designer and art director.
Then, finding that her work was not satisfying her thirst for creativity and her need for artistic freedom, she opened her own creative online shop in 2012.
In 2023, in addition to her work as a self-employed surface designer and illustrator, she has taken up painting in order to professionally explore a passion that until recently had remained somewhat in the shadows of her other creative achievements.

ARTISTIC APPROACH
My passion for everything related to art and creation has led me to experiment with various techniques (drawing, painting, screen printing, linocut, and others), as well as multiple mediums and supports (paper, wood, ceramics, canvas, watercolor, acrylic, ink, digital, and more).
I like to paint simple and repetitive shapes in an abstract expressionist style and intuitive approach, in order to find myself in an almost meditative state - I find freedom there, a creative letting go, I disconnect from everything, and my mind escapes.
A color lover, I like to play with all the possible tones and shades imaginable.
I create compositions where lines and dots come together in a colorful and happy dance for the eye that looks at them.
Rather solitary by nature, I like to create in the quietness of my lakefront home studio in Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc (QC, Canada), with my cat Cocotte by my side.
